Oh my goodness… This 1st birthday lumberjack photo session is not only super cute because of the theme… I’ve photographed Jo Jo since he was a little newborn! It’s such a joy to see how he has grown. To watch how his sweetest parents and their whole family love him with all their heart. Not only did they care about him, but they also made an amazing gift for my baby boy Brixton: an adorable hand-made activity board! You know those fantastic wooden panels with all sorts of wheels, door knobs, locks, latches, and rolls on it to play with? Just wow!
So you can imagine how thoughtful they were preparing this theme! From choosing the location, scouting for all possible “woodsy” places all over the Conejo Valley, to looking for and carefully selecting all of the props! We had so many cute ones: logs and an axe (strong baby, right?), a tool box, pine cones, a cozy “fire” (skilled baby too!), a lantern, stuffed animals… Everything you would need to be a real lumberjack 😉
And guess what? When I came, they had already set everything up! Incredible! My job was so easy: goofing around, singing songs, and capturing all the cutest smiles the little man gave us! Which was plenty! It was a lot of fun! Jo Jo was so good that we also had time for a change of scenery and outfit. Just check out below this cuteness overload!
