Best places to take pictures near Thousand Oaks – Part 2

Hello dear friends! I’m so excited to share Part 2 blog post with my ideas for the best places to take pictures near Thousand Oaks, CA. They are all within Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, Oak Park, Calabasas, Malibu, Camarillo, Ventura, Oxnard, and Moorpark. Some of them are quite famous and some are like hidden gems that not many know about (they are even more special because of that, right? 😉 ).

So if you are looking for the best places for engagement photos, family photos, maternity photos in the Conejo Valley, Ventura County, and a little of Los Angeles County, no more search needed: I have lots of them covered!

This post is only Part 2 – isn’t that awesome? You should totally check out Part 1 here and Part 3 here!

IMPORTANT INFO:

I take pride in providing the best service possible for my current and future clients. That is why I have created this list for ideas and inspiration. Please note that all these places were researched and found by me personally. It took me many, many hours to scout, select, photograph, edit, and present them to you here.  So this content is very exclusive and very special to me. Thus I will share the exact locations, directions, and specifics only with my clients after booking a photo session with me. Thank you very much for your understanding!

A FEW EXTRA NOTES:

Views: I took these photos at different seasons, times of day, and weather. Although I’ll try my best, I cannot promise you the exact look or view that you will see.

Lighting: Some of the examples below were taken in midday when the lighting isn’t the best. Because I strive to deliver beautiful and flattering portraits, we will carefully plan the time of day for the best lighting. A lot will depend on the location (open space or with shade) and the weather (sunny or overcast). For outside, out in the open, typically the ideal light would be about 1 hour before sunset and 1 hour after sunrise. For places with lots of shade there are more options. Some of these places are very time-sensitive and have a short window on when we can take photos there.  If you’d like a particular view, I will also let you know when the best time is.

Permits and Fees: The greatest part is that most of these places don’t require photography permits. Hurray! But, unfortunately, there are a few that do. If you’d like me to take your photos in such, I’ll provide you with the contact information on where you may obtain that permit. My photography packages do not include any permit fees. All permits should be obtained by you beforehand if necessary.

Accessibility: Most of these locations are easily accessible but there are a few that require a longer walk, sometimes with going up/down the hill. We will talk about it when planning! All spots have a place to park but in some it is limited or you will need to pay (or both). Parking fees are not included in my packages and shall be covered too.

Bonus: Some of the spots are super close to each other! Which means with more time in our photo session you can have an amazing variety! I’ll let you know of those options.

So what are those best places to take pictures near Thousand Oaks? Now it is time to get inspired! Enjoy!!
