This Fresh 48 Los Robles Hospital newborn session was a pure sweetness to photograph!
I still remember the call Lilly made to ask me for a Fresh 48 photo session at the hospital. She shared a bit about her pregnancy journey, how excited she and her husband, William, were for the arrival of their baby girl, and how much they loved my portfolio—I was so touched!
Then she mentioned, “Next Friday is the day I give birth!” At first, I thought it was her due date, which is usually more of an estimate. I knew I had a busy travel week ahead, so I sadly mentioned that I wouldn’t be available. We even started discussing other photographers I could refer her to. But then it hit us—Friday was her scheduled C-section, and I’d be back Friday night, so we could still make it work. Woohoo!
So, on Saturday morning, I arrived at Los Robles, and memories of my own experiences there—giving birth to my boy, meeting my nephew, and capturing other families—came flooding back with joy.
When I entered the room, Lilly was resting while William was busily preparing things. They had a sweet “Happy Birthday” sign that they wanted to hang on the wall and some adorable headbands for baby Alessia. Nurses, lactation consultants, and doctors came and went, tending to the new family. Amidst it all, I was there to capture the love and the beginning of this beautiful new chapter in their lives.
Welcome to the world, baby Alessia! My warmest congratulations to you, dear Lilly and William!
