Baby Jack | In-home Lifestyle Newborn Photo Session in Newbury Park

“I love you Jack” whispered Luke after I asked him to kiss his little baby brother when they were laying on the bed. These words just touched my heart and set the whole tone of this lovely in-home lifestyle newborn photo session in Newbury Park. You know toddlers: they can’t stay still and like being goofy especially when Mommy and Daddy are around. So they left the room while I was photographing brothers together. And suddenly Luke became quiet and sweet giving me the best smiles! You’ll see it in the photos!

In one book, I saw an idea that babies choose which family to be born into. Well, certainly Jack couldn’t have chosen a better one! John and Stefanie are the sweetest couple! They have been together for 10 years. You can’t not notice how much love and respect they have for each other and care about one another. They lived in the San Francisco area, Las Vegas, and now here in Southern California – what a fun experience! And it’s so nice that Stefanie and John are both from big families and very close to them. When they told me that right after our photo session they were driving to San Francisco for the weekend to see the family… not only with an 18-day old baby… but also a 3 year old… about 6 hours if no traffic… I was seriously stunned! I’m sure you are impressed reading it now too!

By the way, it was Luke who chose the name for his brother! He assumed right away it was going to be a boy and decided his name would be Jack Jack (after the little one from “The Incredibles” and Jack from “The Nightmare Before Christmas”).

Also, can you imagine that Jack was asleep most of our 2-hour session? With newborns, expect anything, and lots of times after 2 weeks old they just don’t stay asleep as much anymore. But the stars aligned for us (along with Stefanie and John preparing for my visit – it helps so much!)… Such cuteness overload!
