I got to know about Diane and Marlo even before they knew I existed 🙂 Diane’s sister Michele reached out to me a few months ago and asked me to capture Diane’s baby shower as a surprise. Weeks go by, the baby shower is all planned and set, the excitement is built up, and guess what? 2 days before the party, a true surprise comes: Diane went into labor and baby Miles arrived! Almost 6 weeks before his due date! This is definitely proof that once you become a parent, all your plans become very tentative 🙂 I know what it’s like as well: my own boy came 4 weeks early and it definitely caught us by surprise too.

When your baby comes early, it definitely takes more time: to transition, to get used to your new life as a family of 3, and to make sure the little munchkin, as well as his mama, are doing well. For Diane on top of caring for Miles, she needed to also take care of herself: during pregnancy, she developed Bell’s Palsy and had been doing therapy too.

But just look how amazing they are doing! I really admired watching how much love Diane and Marlo have for each other and for Miles! How strong and supportive they are as a family!
