Recently I had one of the sweetest family photo sessions in the park. I always love to get to know my families a little more before we meet each other because it’s more than just taking photos for me. I get to photograph some powerful stories and moments in life and I want to make sure I capture all that is important to them and all the love they feel about each other.

It all started with 3 brothers wanting to give a wonderful present to their parents: to capture their lovely family together. They are from Camarillo and looked around for a photographer. And I’m so honored they have chosen me!

They were all amazingly kind, sweet, and supportive of one another. And little Audrey was just precious: giving hugs and kisses and showing how well she can dance, and twirl around, and how high she can climb and jump =)

But there also was something that touched me to the bottom of my heart. You’ll see a teddy bear in some of these photos. Its name is Zach Bear and it is more than just a teddy bear to little Audrey. It has a heartbeat of a precious baby brother of hers. The one who went to heaven shortly after he was born. My heart is aching for them, for what they’ve gone through. No family should ever have to endure storms like this in their lives.

But I could see how strong they were together. The love they share is so powerful. It helps to overcome the challenges like nothing else. And there is a little angel up there who will always be protecting this amazing family. Many hugs to all of you!
