This charming bohemian wedding took place at a beautiful Pony Creek Ranch in Ojai, CA. Moreover, it is a family estate which makes it just extra special for this truly special celebration!
You may remember Mia and Cheyne from their magical garden engagement session (check out their love story in that post!). Just like many couples in 2020, they had to postpone and change plans for their wedding too. But they’ve overcome this obstacle just like many others in their lives and are stronger than ever! Knowing them a little bit already and hearing all the kind words from their families, I can surely tell you that Mia and Cheyne are very loving, genuine, and resilient!
The whole day was filled with emotions, with tears of joy and happiness, with lots of laughter and smiles. When I walked into Cheyne’s getting-ready room, he was in the middle of writing his vows which according to the bride were the sweetest, longest praise to her. They didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony but they still wanted to share a special moment before so they did “the first touch” with the wall between them. Mia was all glowing the whole day and I could see how proud Cheyne was to call her his darling wife at last! For their sunset portraits, we walked around the ranch with some delightful views and the sunshine pouring onto them.
When the sun set, they slowly moved inside the house as nights here in SoCal do get chilly in April. One of the family members surprised the couple with a very special gift: a bottle of wine from Cheyne’s ancestor’s winery. This bottle is one of the last few existing and brought many tears that night.
As you can already guess, it was truly a beautiful day! Congratulations, dear Mia and Cheyne! Thank you for trusting me with capturing these precious memories for you! It’s truly an honor!
